I don’t post “controversial” content too often. Not nearly as much as I would like. I think it’s a disservice to our audience to constantly post things that they’ll always find agreeable. As an institution we pride ourselves on getting kids to question their world. Some of that energy should be spent getting parents to question their world as well.

Obviously I didn’t lose my job and the story stayed on our Facebook page. Unfortunately, I did have to block this user after he started using inappropriate language toward another guest on the Facebook page.
